MEDS 1st Annual Medical Director Leadership Conference

MEDS is pleased to announce the 1st Annual Medical Director’s Conference taking place on July 20th and 21st, 2009 at the Four Seasons, St. Louis. The Medical Directors of MEDS’ 10 emergency departments and 2 urgent cares will gather to share ideas and to learn effective leadership in the Emergency Department from industry leaders.

The conference will begin with a ‘State of the Company’ address by Dr. William Cruzen, Chairman and founder of MEDS, and an introduction of G. Scott Dillon, newly appointed President and CEO. Dr. Len Glover, Chief Medical Officer, will discuss the roles and responsibilities of the Emergency Department Medical Director.

Lecture topics include Effective Leadership, an overview of the T-system, Patient Satisfaction, and Reimbursement & Documentation. Kevin Shrake, CEO of St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, will deliver the key note speech at the Monday luncheon entitled, “Life as a Hospital CEO…Managing Between a Doc and a Hard Place!”
